I have now looked at all five of your galleries. All in all, this trip produced your freshest and most original work to date, at least in my own view of it. Your images seem more coherent in composition, richer in color and texture, and more striking in juxtapositions and incongruities. Your editing, as I said, seems very loose, and redundant. Perhaps if you took a fresh look at all of your images and did not try to organize them by location, you would be able to reduce the amount of similar images and make the remaining pictures into one or two strikingly powerful Death Valley galleries that were not tied to location but rather to the story of nature itself. Because nature is the real star here, not the travelogue. I am very proud of what I see here, Iris -- you vision has grown by leaps and bounds. Now become a ruthless editor of your own work, and your most expressive images will benefit enormously.

At last, Iris posts! Your images bring back many wonderful memories of our trip. It is fascinating to see how your bring your own interpretation to the subjects we photographed together. I think you made some of your most expressive images -- ever -- here in Death Valley, Iris.
