When I first became interested in photography, in my late teens, I worked in black and white, developing my own film and making my own prints. You have much more control of the process that way. I still have urges to get back into a real live darkroom.
But in the meantime, this tree caught my eye while geocaching in Bedford Reservation. I decided to try to use PhotoShop to make it as good a black and white image as I could, rivaling what I used to do in a darkroom. I think I succeeded.
