Haute Savoie is a department in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alps region of out-east France. This department, along with Savoie, was part of Italy until 1860.
The capital is Annecy which is lovely city located at the northern end of Lac d'Annecy. It is sometimes referred to as the "Venice of France" due to it having canals running through the older parts of the city.
This gallery contains a number of images of the city as well the surrounding areas.
