This was our first Winter trip to Bryce National Park and the timing couldn't have been better. They'd just had a heavy snowfall so the landscape was immaculate. We followed a snowplow for about twenty miles up Hwy 89 but were very pleased to see that Hwy 12 into Bryce was clear, so no chains required. However the first day the road into the park was only open to the first two overlooks, but the next day they'd opened another few miles of the 18 mile road through the park.
Many of these shots required hiking through knee-deep snow at 8000 foot elevations in very cold temperatures but the sun was shining and there was no wind so it was still quite enjoyable.
