Pblog

Waiting in my doctor's office last Dec, I began talking with the lady next to me, who turned out exactly like me --divorced, single mom. What's more, our daughters are in the same preschool. Before long we were chatting like old friends.

That would be a coincidence anywhere. Yes, it's a small world! but on the way home, I was thinking: that's not always the case, is it? If I want to visit my parents, my flight back to China is more than 14 hours, here at US, I need to fly half a day from east coast to west coast to see someone very special who just entered my life. for anyone who has a far-flung family, I am sure you'll agree: until someone invents a way to hug your loved ones from hundreds of miles away, our small world can seem pretty big.

Here I am staring my picture blog on 2011. Well maybe it's more of a simple way to keep family and friends updated on my sometimes pretty uneventful life in New York. I am not an inspiring writer nor do I poss the talents to try and pose as one, so forgive me if this is not your type of blog. I want to post random thoughts, pictures and my love to literature, art, photography and fashion. OK here it goes...

P.S. I am too lazy to type Chinese, but I do want to express some feelings in my mother language.
