A few shots from a short family trip to south-western Ireland during the last week of July. Some casual birding done along the way but neither was there much time nor were we in a good season. I had mainly two birding targets in mind, getting shots of Red-billed Chough along the coast, and seabirds on a planned trip to Skellig Michael. I managed to nail my targets, albeit not quite with the quality I had hoped for. There were plenty of Choughs around, but I somehow failed to get a really decent shot, and the Skellig boat trip turned out to be a little bit rough for decent shooting. At the end of the stay, in early August, wader numbers were starting to built up.
