Autostichidae: Twirler Moths and Kin

Autostichidae is a family that is hard to characterize.

Range: Represented throughout much of North America; also occurs in several areas of
the world. This is a European species, introduced into NA in the mid 1800's.

The larvae are nearly always saprophagous.
