A European invader, not too bad, tho... Kind of pretty.
Both the Erodiums and wild Geraniums have small purple flowers. Each genus has two or three species around our area. Collectively, they are known as "Filaree."
Actually, it's not that hard to learn them: off the top, the geranium's
petals are cleft, like this one; erodiums petals have no cleft.
These plants are allegedly provide fodder for wildlife (rabbits? deer? citation needed).
