Aged

Age is only a number....no one really knows what number you will age to.
How do you see yourself....? how do you see me.....?
Some days I feel younger than my age...others older.
Days like today getting news of a friend and co-works passing has me thinking of age.
Fifty-Six years is all he was given......how many years will I be given?
My head spins on day's like this.....and time just goes into slow-motion.
Godspeed my friend...Godspeed...................

A very powerful image. I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. It is difficult, I know. You've seen enough sadness this year and I'm sending hugs to you. This image I studied for a while before reading your words. The eyes look as though they are looking towards heaven. A sadness yet a deep love seen in them, too. Love this image, Mike. None of us know how long we will be here so live each day as though it were your last and let everyone you love know you do.

Fantastic capture of your own image in a more aged and serious form and a superb interpretation of your own feeling at the time. Totally amazing shot! Very sorry to hear about your friend Mike. ~BV~

Wow - 56 is younger than I am :-( But I don't dwell on how long I will live because it's out of my hands (mostly). I tend to think of age as a state of mind/experiences instead of just days/years. Great image Mike. ~V

A wonderful image that certainly does make one think about how far we will go. I always love the history written in the lines of an aged person's face. May we too get to see our history written in our own lines of time. Very well captured and spoken Mike. V.
