Joy of a V-J Day Kiss: Taken at the annual Commemorative Air Force’s “A Night in the ’40s Big Band Dance” in the CAF’s main hanger at Falcon Field, Mesa, Arizona. The Arizona Wing of the CAF is home for “Sentimental Journey,” one of the few remaining WWII B-17 4-engine bombers still flying. The yearly event was attended by approximately 1400 people, most of whom were dressed in 1940s military uniforms or civvies, and included a wardrobe contest. It’s a blast.
