The Korean Kayagum is a follower of the Chinese Guzheng zither. It is part of the Korean cort music and knows a wide variation of playing techniques and styles. The most common performance today is the "sanjo" style with an additional drum player.

Die Kayagum aus Korea ist ein späterer Nachfolger der chinesischen Guzheng. Sie steht im Mittelpunkt der dortigen Hoftradition, von der sich bis heute leider nur noch der "sanjo"-Stil erhalten hat, in der die Zither von einer Janggu-Trommel begleitet wird.
