This tree and the church tower are the same age.
On the slab you can read that they were both settled in 1380.



The tree, a lime-tree I think, is the second oldest and biggest tree of Switzerland.
There is another one, just a little bit older and much bigger, I'm afraid,
somewhere in German Switzerland.
