FLYING TURKEY - ISO 800

I have made many images of flying birds, but this was my first flying turkey! The bird, along with four others, was flying from my house roof across the road to my neighbor's yard. Some folks do not realize how well these birds can fly in the wild (domesticated turkeys do not fly). This one was about 40 feet off the ground.

Taken with a Nikon 105mm VR macro lens. I was shooting some macros in the front yard, when the birds flew off the roof. I managed to get this "grab shot" by panning with the turkey. Processed in PhotoShop Elements 5.0. No post-processing noise reduction.

Super catch, Bill! I'm hoping to catch one with tail feathers spread out!
