A barred owl that was rescued by the RCV. Unfortunately, it was hit by a truck and lost part of it's left talon and is now blind. Ordinarily, the talons are powerful enough for the owl to eat turtles.
Taken at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens during the annual Meadwolark Photo Expo, 2008.
