A pair of screech owls that were rescued by the RCV. Virginia is an area that has a mixture of trees that will allow both types of screech owls to survive as they blend in. In this case the grey blended in with the tree rather well (better than the red). In some areas, the screech owl that doesn't blend in is usually picked off while younger leaving only the color that is naturally camoflauged.
