CheyAnne was usually the slowest moving dog in the run but when she decided to show what it means to be a greyhound, all you saw was a blur. All of us, dogs included, stood watching her run in total awe. Chey passed away about a year after this photo was taken. She was everyone's favorite.
Here's her original Pet Trekkers caption written by her Dad who passed away shortly after CheyAnne:
"CheyAnne is a black brindle greyhound who was born Sept. 1992. Chey raced in Tucson until the age of 3 when she was rescued by Arizona Greyhound Rescue who sent her to a family who helped her learn about people, other dogs, cats, stairs, etc....things not encountered in her world of racing. She had an owner for 2 years who got very sick and was unable to keep her.
We have had CheyAanne (or vice versa) for 5 years. She has no toys..."not interested"...although she has taught herself a special game with a ball! She lived with a male cat until our "kitty" died last year at the age of 20.
CheyAnne (like all greyhounds) is friendly to people, kids, other dogs, and cats.
The greyhound: "A 40 mph couch potato."
