Yesterday, we attended the funeral of Scott's grandmother. I did not really get to know her all that well as she has suffered from senility for most of our marriage. From the words at the service though, it seemed like she has a sense of humor and would have appreciated the story surrounding this spray of flowers.
Scott's uncle does a fair amount of contract work for the FBI. When they learned of his mother's death, the FBI called and left him several messages on his phone requesting details of the service. Due to a phone glitch, he did not receive them for quite some time. Once he did receive them, he returned their call to find out they had already made arrangements to have the flowers sent. He asked, "How did you find out where to send them." Their reply? "We're the FBI!"
