Trying to photograph snow buntings is a very frustrating endeavor. You see them feeding at the sides of the road and move up the car at a snail's pace, but they flush every time. I was sitting there waiting to see what they would do when a car came towards me and the birds flushed towards me. I was ready and got a few shots. I've tried a few more times with no luck. I'm trying to find them feeding in a field. Maybe they will be less nervous.
