I recently told a friend that I love this view and shot on the summit of Katahdin - the angularity of the rocks in the foreground emphasized by the afternoon light and shadows, the sharpness of Pamola Peak and the Knife Edge in contrast to the land in the far distance behind it, the hint of fall color in the valleys, and the arched white horizon line cutting across the blue sky. It has a "blue planet" feel to me.
