We had decided we wanted to make it to Rocamadour after leaving the Powells. The guide books all talked about it, and played it up a lot. It's also one of the pilgrimage stops on the Road to Compostela. When we first saw the village, we were high on a hill-side road driving down into the valley. It looked very magical! The light was very hard, though, because we were still in the middle of the day, and it was very hot! Here's a view in Black and White
