Unfortunately, Rocamadour came late in the day for us, and we weren't prepared for how congested it was. There were busloads of people all over the place, and the village wasn't accessible with the car. We had to drive right down into the valley for a parking place, then we would have to walk or take a bus up to the sights. We were both tired after all the earlier walking in the day, and just didn't want to do that. So....on we go to another place! We started driving with a gerneral objective to go to Sarlat, and there were some interesting things to see along the way. This chateau across the river was spectacular!
