Excellent. The type of shot I would be proud and delighted to have in my own portfolio. Well done indeed. Regards jnconradie

Don't tell me that you didn't choose this crop... that it was an accident. I really, really like it. It's different and riveting. Does she have red sparkles in her hair or are those from the PP? Her eyes say so much. A really good portrait and use of high contrast. ~Lydia

Cheers, vikas.

Oh that makes it even better in my book RK... terrific capture and as Lonnit commented it certainly works as is and thanks for the explanation. ~ Regards Melbob

Thanks Melbob and Lonnit.
Melbob - this is not a crop. This was taken almost ad-hoc with no preparation or composition...wish I had gotten more of the left brow.

There are enough leading lines to enable the breaking of the rule of thirds here. Nicely done. :) ~ Lonnit

Very evocative portrait RK. High impact and contrasty. The eyes and the mouth are really emotive.

Can I ask why you chose to crop this so close to the eyes. My thought would have been to feature the eyes in the top third intersection giving a little more brow. (I hasten to add I know very little about portrait photography...) I would be interested in comments from others as well.
