Another one of these guys! I've only actually seen live ones one time when I lived in New York State and a colony or cohort of them was born. They were everywhere! This is a great photo Bottles! Ann C

Thanks folks for your comments, I appreciate every one of them! And Sky, too funny! I love your sense of humor and I'm still laughing at your comment! I don't know which is the ugliest, the adult Cicada or that skin they leave hanging on trees etc. Actually, I hesitated entering Herman because I had seen your Rocky and didn't know if folks could stand to see two of those creatures in the same challenge :-) Anyway thanks for the comment, and the laugh, a little humor adds so much to these challenges!

Bottles - I can't tell you how much I like this photo. Wait! Make that LOVE this photo. This is the only photo of a cicada that I have seen that I feel qualifies as eye-candy. He's cute, adorable and sweetness all rolled into one. I need to introduce his make-up artist to Rocky! (See my exhibition entry Rocky's Refection and you'll get my drift....) Gosh this little guy is so cute!!!
