In rare circumstances, you can actually see Macau from Hong Kong International Airport. This photo is taken from over 40 km away, but you can still see the Macau skyline. Due to the distance, the lower parts of the buildings are below the horizon, giving the illusion of a city floating on water. Unfortunately, I have only been able to capture this mirage on camera once in over a decade, due to the heavy air pollution in the region. Wouldn�ft clean air make all of our lives better!
