Today's challenge was a true challenge. I had nothing. I figured that I could possibly take some pictures of a church on my way home from work. After all, it's not like I work downtown or someplace where there are cool buildings. As luck would have it though, I was asked to attend the company's executive meeting this morning at Mockingbird and I-35E. Once my part was done, I was allowed to go back to the office. During the meeting my mind wandered (as minds often do in meetings) to the PBase challenge. I thought to myself, "Hey, just a few exits south is the Infomart. That building has a really cool exterior." So, as I left the meeting site instead of going north, I went south. And that's how I ended up at the Infomart on a day at a time when I should have been at the office. I rather think it was worth the trip.
The Infomart was built in Dallas, TX in 1985. If it looks a bit familiar or out of place, that could be because it was modeled after The Crystal Palace, built in Hyde Park to house the Great Exhibition of 1851. It currently caters to technology companies and probably houses quite a bit of software architecture as well.
Being that I wasn't going to have another chance to retake a picture if I didn't like it, I snapped several shots, so below is an alternate.
