Guadalupe Metalmark (Calephelis guadalupe)

Austin, Texas

The Guadalupe Metalmark is a very small butterfly (barely 1/2 inch wingspan). It's larvae feed on Eupatorium havenense in central Texas. The adults are found on eupatorium flowers and various composites.
