Really nice galleries.
I would guess this is a muskrat-Ondatra zibethicus. They are very common in Canada where I live and the face just doesn't seem right for coypu. Coypu have really abundant long white whiskers that start on each side of the muzzle. Both of these species have been introduced to Europe from the Americas. If you can recall the size of the animal it would help. Muskrat is 2-4 lbs. and body without tail is 10-14 in. whereas nutria is 15-20 lbs. and body is 22-25 in.
Keep up the good work. Pat Marklevitz
