I snapped this photo on Sunday morning as I was sitting on the back porch
drinking instant coffee in my pjs. It is always stunning to me the way that
natural sounds are amplified when city noises are removed from the picture.
Here, the only sounds I hear are the myriad of chirping birds and the wind rustling
through the leaves of the big maple and birch trees in my grandmas back
yard. I can close my eyes now...remembering... and be transported away from the
stresses of my very long day...
