Tracks

I learned something new today. These are the tracks of a leaf mining insect, which eats its way through the middle layers of a leaf, leaving the tracks behind.

Nice shot!
This type of mine is called a serpintine mine. The blackish dots in the mine are "bug poop". Some beetles, flies, and a few other insects do this. Columbine is a good plant to see this on.
