I love the colors and composition of this shot. A rich find. I wonder how many other pics you have of this terrific subject. It seems a little over exposed for such flat lighting, or maybe just colors bleached with age. -tv

Well i see all kinds of framing and all natural too!!! Gosh Jammy, a boost of sat may work here and even some hdr if you had it :) I like the pastel colors and it has a painted look to it. Good eye. jano

I am in agreeance with Rob here. :)

There is a very strong focus on the fence and not the very small window being obscured by the fence, therefore, IMHO, the effect of a frame is lost.

Ah, I see..................................I don't really :-)

@ Rod - I've framed the frame, I haven't shot the picket fence in in its entireity :-).
But who knows maybe the mountain air is getting to me :).

@Sue - It's not an HDR image believe it or not, although it does seem to have that look to it?

I have a couple more shots, i'm trying to figure out if any of those fit the challenge.
Took these at a military camp high in the mountains here.

You called the picy green picket fence which is obviously the focal point of the shot so wot have you framed? If you would have focused on the window of the house & had that in the opening of the fence you would have yourself a framed shot..............I think:-)

Very nice and it seems like a HD image. :)

Wow, this would have been a good one for the dilapidation challenge Jammy- cool fence. I like this shot a lot, but find myself wishing for a more obvious framed subject here- well taken though :-)
ctfchallenge01-May-2007 02:22
I see the fence and structure both being the subject as a whole. I do see your intention of the fence being the frame so I feel that it fits the theme. I applaud your talent to make something so dilapidated look so pleasing. -COAmature
