Maybe it doesn't fit the challange, but this is a beautifully executed shot of a gorgeous, colorful subject. So thanks for that. -tv

Troy is a grumpy ole sod but I like him:-)

Hold on there Troy. I was actually saying I liked the picture and that I thought it would have faired very well in the mini challenge. I still stand behind the fact that I don't feel there is a strong sense of natural framing. It's OK though, there are many photo's here I feel the same way about. It's a well exposed, colorful, interesting DOF shot. -COAmature

Almost thought this was a triptych pp job but reading below comments, its a real shot. I like it and stained glass lighting is beautiful.
Now never mind the critiques, I think you did a job on topic. :)

Troy, please don't take the comment of any one person (myself included) too strongly. What I said was based stictly on my feelings about the topic and was not meant to imply that this image was off topic. If you stick around long enough you'll see that critical comments some leave are later disputed by others who defend what the artist has posted. We have plenty of nice people here who really mean to be constructive with their comments.

The challenge did not say anything about the subject not being able to frame itself. COAmature has been very critical of everything I've posted. I thought this site would be fun and a great way to learn from others but not the case.

I shot this picture of a real stained glass window at my nephew's house. I was able to get very close. All I did was crop the outside edges to center it. I can replace this where it show more panels and the walls if it makes it look more real to the unbelievers.

I have concerns about straight photographs of other peoples art - which I believe this is. Also the framing to me is part of the glass panel and not really a creation of the photographer in any way.

This is beautiful troy, but I'm not sure this is strong for the topic in that the subject and frame are one in the same somewhat- I think? Nice job of squaring things up :-)

This would have been great for the stained glass mini challenge. I'm not sure if a subject can frame itself though. -COAmature
