"Larry The Lizard"

I named this little critter Larry, who just showed up in my backyard today. I'm not sure what kind of lizard he is and what the red
under pouch is all about. If you know...let me know!

Fantastic shot, it is a green anole and the red pouch they inflate when they feel threatened, great image.Lucky you to have these, ours look more like monsters in comparison.

Larry is quite handsome, and you've captured the texture of his skin brilliantly.

That's right - it's a green anole lizard. I found this one in good light on Maui last month:http://www.pbase.com/nedsarab/image/77365566

Bill, it's called an Anole(s). We've got them in our backyard & I've been posting shots of them forever (I'm shocked - SHOCKED - I say, that you haven't noticed. LOL

They're very brave except for when they're not. Go figure. That red thing it's doing, I hate to tell you, is because it's sexually attracted to you. Call Dr. Phil.

Have fun... they're a little like chameleons - sometimes they'll turn brown. =:o
