Photographing Buffleheads Is Dangerous To Your Health

Thank you all for your concern in the matter of my hematoma. My doctor told me this morning that he wants me to keep my leg active much to my
surprise. So in response to the request from Jess (Lady_D), who is an expert at photographing buffleheads, I am posting the shot of the
male (mostly white) and female buffleheads that I took at the lake not far from the old barn on March 31. This was the best I could do
given that the buffleheads were far out in the lake. Nevertheless, I think the photo is so good that it will likely be on top in this
week's Popular Photos. :)

Finally, in contrast to Buz Kiefer's claim, there is nothing in the Nikon D200 manual about photographing buffleheads. However,
from my own personal experience, I can assure you that this is a dangerous undertaking. Photographing buffleheads can
get one so excited that you can unwittingly wind up stabbing yourself with the sharp end of a stick protruding from
the ground. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.

Hope to get to your photographs imminently.

Buffleheads are not easy to photograph. Despite your stab wound, I think you did a really good job on this capture. The next time that I see any buffleheads, I am definitely now going to think of you.

Hope you are recovering and doing well Jay. That's a mighty lens you've got there for this super close up. +V

I must say Jay that even with pointy stick in leg, your Buffleheads are much better that anything I have ever taken, mine all look like black blobs. I will however be very careful next time I see one close enough to photograph. Well done and glad to hear that you are doing well.....Jess

Nice capture of these ducks. I will be most cautious when photographing buffleheads.

Nice shot Jay, and I will be very careful when shooting Buffleheads. V
