I muffed it. I said I was not at this site when it wasn't covered with people, but this image proves otherwise. I could have, and should have gone around the entire statute making note of the inscriptions and the sculptures, but I didn't. I have discovered from this, however that it was apparently dedicated in 1865. To appreciate the size of the fountain, note the blonde woman, barely visible due to the facing light sitting on the lower fountain rim, on the back, right-hand side. This was shot at ISO 800 in very poor light.
