These "frets" are build very high for a technical reason: The deeper you can bend the chord the more you can change the pitch of the played tone. This way the Tyba can slide the pitches far deeper than the Pipa, creating "bigger" modulations.

Da die Tyba höhere Bundabstände zum Hals hat, ist hier jedoch ein viel stärkeres Modulieren und Verändern des Tones möglich, was auch den starken Akzenten der vietnamesischen Sprache entspricht.
