The "Guqin" music is not easy to play, it stands for discipline and concentration. One could say the same about the tuning: One has to pull the strings with power over the edge of the instrument, and pull as long you create the right pitch, then tie it around one of the standing feet. You really need arm power for this! The sound of the Qin is deep and soft but very low, so it never was intended to be a "show" case instrument.

Nicht nur das Spiel, auch die Stimmung des Instruments erfordert Kraft, Konzentration und Ausdauer: Die Saiten werden mit purer Muskelkraft über den Rand gezogen und bei annähernd richtiger Stimmung um die Füße gebunden und befestigt.
