So many pictures from Death Valley concentrate on color - this is such a grand example of how to get at the essence of a place with black and white.

Talk about drama! Your black and white cloudscape over rolling hills is a powerful context. Stopping a raven in flight as your subject -- in the perfect spot, no less -- and cropping it all into a panoramic frame, adds a spectacular dimension.
