Either a Chocolate Pansy or an Indian Leaf butterfly caterpillar hatching.
The first meal for the caterpillar is part of the
egg case, as it eats its way out to the world.

Another developing egg is seen on the right and
the smaller green eggs are Malachite Butterfly eggs.
