It would really be very inefficient to purchase a 747 as Presidential Aircraft as even a Learjet 45 will be able to cover the Philippines up to nearby Asian countries. We can just ask PAL to loan a 747 if the president is going for US or other distant ally countries (which happens only for a few times in a president's career). It would be best to consider what will be more effective to use within the Philippines up to a few neighbor countries our president visits a lot. Much more, let's purchase fighter aircrafts first, recon and interceptors to protect the Philippines and in case, escort the presidential aircraft, even our Grandpa S-211's, the fastest aircrafts PAF has on their active inventory so far will be of no match no protect Kalayaan One...

Guest 26-Mar-2012 23:59
it would be better if His Excellency would purchased a new presidential plane.
TACLOBAN 08-Jan-2012 07:31

This photo has been re-uploaded with a much bigger 1200 pixel size image as compared to 800 from the past.

I think Pres.NoyNoy is right.Just take a commercial plane . Anyway he seldom travels out of the country. He should just appropriate that money to buying fighter jets and that my friends will be money well spend.RP needs security and si PNoy,simpleng Presidente, hindi magarbo.

even just an airbus A320-200 plane is OK for being the presidential plane of the Philippines

"para naman may gamitin ang ating presidente sa mga official travel niya sa pilipinas"
richard gumia grande 29-Dec-2010 02:36

Guest 28-Dec-2010 04:51
ya falcon 900 or 737-700ER, 737 cheaper than a319 or a318 i think
Guest 20-Nov-2010 09:03
PILOT ONE 27-Oct-2010 15:21
yeah..i agree...P-Noy should buy a new Presidential Airplane...An Airbus A319 is enough and he should call it LAWIN ONE...with the Philippine colors painted over it and the THREE STARS AND THE SUN ON THE TAIL.
jokres 16-Sep-2010 18:01
Guest 24-Aug-2010 11:55

July 5, 2010 After seeing all the PAF assets on display and noting that the F-28 presidential aircraft is at least 30 years old, the Manila Standard has quoted Pres. Aquino as saying, “I feel it is better for us to take commercial flights instead,”

Now, how this statement makes the average PAF person who continues to fly on an aging C-130, F-27 or Huey feel?
Philippine Aviation06-Jul-2010 14:28
Hi Aero,

The Manila Standard has today covered Pres. Aquino's response to this aircraft:
“I think we have all seen the assets of the Philippine Air Force on display. One of them is the F-28, the presidential aircraft that is at least 30 years old,”

“I feel it is better for us to take commercial flights instead,” Mr. Aquino said.
aero 05-Jul-2010 13:18
well i wish that the president Noy shud think that its a must for him to buy a new aircraft whch has a medium range...the boeing 737 is the perfect one...the question is, does r government has a budget for this? o d kaya naubos ninakaw????
Alfred 01-Jul-2010 07:33
The VC-25 (Boeing 747-200B) of US 89th (Presidential) Airlift Wing is too expensive for the Philippines to acquire and based on the archives, they are planning to replace it as it is becoming cost inefficient to fly. I agree, they should replace them as it is not only a symbol but the life and security of our president is at stake on flying one of those aging fleets. Lucky you just showed the Fokker here because they have a good standing Boeing 737-300 to fly the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
Guest 29-Jun-2010 16:30
what about a used DC-10. pretty sure that would not be that expensive
jdc 23-Jun-2010 11:12
Our government should purchase a new one because it reflect to our country specially when this plane is in a foreign land.
REYMAR 21-Jun-2010 06:21
It Must replaced it with a Bombardier CRJ400.
our goverment has a lot of funds to purchase BOMBARDIER.
Guest 21-Jun-2010 05:22
I suggest President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino to purchase a new Presidential Plane.
Guest 19-Jun-2010 19:49
the philippine airforce should buy a 737-700ER, has a medium range
org_zhens 11-May-2010 08:35
dpat jan katulad ng sa US ung airforce one

i have seen this plane taking off from runway 06 RPLL from the out side of multinational national fence... i was so funny to see it when for the first time i saw it... i saw this plane approching the the runway o6, H4 threshhold hoinding point, with two black suv's following it.. it almost looked like some hollywood movie... this jeeps followed it right up to 06 thresh hold ... ... and waited till the plane tookoff ...
Lemuel Lazado 22-Feb-2010 13:19
I think it's time to replace this aircraft and it's not safe on our president..
yek rakki 18-Dec-2009 18:44
i hope that the Presidential Airlift Wing could include a more modern aircraft like an airbus a319 or embraer.
Guest 29-Jul-2009 04:28
James ---- that's a Fokker F28 "Fellowship" --- The President does use this for domestic travel. Maybe during the time you saw the President on a PAL or other plane the F-28 was undergoing scheduled maitenance.
James 31-Oct-2008 08:58
What plane is this? I thought the only presidential plane Philippines have is the B747-400, A340-300, A320-200(PAL Aircrafts) This plane is so cute, it doesn't even need any airport assistance by the looks of the door I think it has its own stairs. Why don't Pres. GMA change its livery and cabin facilities and go whooshing all around Philippines with that, instead of using PAL's jets whooshing around Philippines? By the looks of it, its a short-to-medium range aircraft/ and regional range aircraft.
jethro s. 05-Oct-2008 04:12
oooooooooooops! sinakyan yan ni GMA!sa legaspi
