This is probably as close one could get to this very "Schrödinger's cat" like observation. At a closer examination, isn't there a thin crack forming SW of the bullet... ?

you see here very clear how the shock-wave of the impact is transmitted to the bottom rear and the glass deforms in 2 circular wave pattern. This is a huge shot because your shutter matched a precise moment of impact, just before the wave returns and the glas bursts. When the glass breaks, this shock-wave will be responsible for the glass being projected outside like a cone, and not all inside, the way you can see it on some other shots

Definately a reflection from a crack. If you knew the flash duration you cound calculate the bullets speed by its blur. Very impressed. ~V~

Could it be that what you are suggesting is a thin crack is actually the reflection of the bullet inside the glass?
