THE EXQUISITE CORSPE EXCHANGE – A Surrealist Poetry Game
SMALL, PATHETIC & DRY
(or My Neighbor of Cobblestone)
My neighbor, moving and tossing, in sleep
Ice blows sideways, hot juice, inside
His eye sockets are dark and sunken.
Somewhere a small animal has a broken leg.
In October again… plump, slower, ancient
Boy cantaloupe in rest… pieces of corn and dry leaves
Burn inside his body, swelling & heating his manhood
Penetrates his lust, his hidden secret.
Emerges [secret] in every tepid pint of liquor
Celebrating life, future joy dipped in semi-sweet pain
The union made is parents happy,
But his sister, laughing knew
That cupping warm walnuts keeps comfort
From ghouls in hanging jackets
Javier & Amberlyn decided to become
Sex workers in the red light of cobblestone.
