THE GRASS BEYOND REPAIR

The grass was wet with oysters
Half of the ladies were sick with gastro-intestinal

While Victorian homes housed angry students…
…. Alone, with curls, nerds and goons of tomorrow

Bad breath permeates the sea breeze with
Dracula’s wet tongue licking her leg,

The bartender watches, preparing the bar
In a universal way, always before darkness,

She was lost in the Marine Industrial Park.
Finding shelter in an alley, starting a fire

Without wood or paper… but with
Words; sword and flower revolting

The blister’s skin broke open
Beautiful pink rays melted on skin

Animated each cubicle
Dropped beyond repair.
