Headless meditation

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah)

Meditation takes many forms, one of which is depicted here. I am prostrate (the second "r" is critical),
expressing my humility in the face of this rocky grandeur. My head is not visible because it is
pressed against the sandstone in an attempt to convince the god of landscapes of my sincerity. A few
days after this act of supplication I was rewarded with rain, hail, thunder, and lightning near this
very spot. I did not take that as a favorable response to the act shown here. You can't win 'em all.

Out of respect for the seriousness of this act, my assistant (Joe Tripod) remained quiet throughout.

You need to keep an eye on that prostrate thing, I've heard it can get serious.

Steve, I think you are confused: the Void is in my head.

Dave, I thought your head was in a hole in a successful attempt to penetrate the Void.

The guy to the left in the hat has no legs-butt this shot reminds me of my "Moon" gallery-

Larry, maybe I was scaling a rockfish.

Dave, if you cropped this just right I would have thought you were scaling a wall.

I was not contemplating the disaster you mention, Bernard. If I had been, the response I got might have been even worse. Just before I arrived in Moab there was record-setting rainfall which caused damage from flooding, perhaps to prove the Reverend correct.

The Rev. Pat Robertson says God has told him that storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.
Is that the reason you're up there Dave? Anyhow a great shot and enjoyed your narrative.
