My wife convinced me to take an MP3 player on this trip to Utah. She even did most of the work of ripping the songs from CDs and organizing the tracks on the player (a Creative Zen:M model). To help me remember what music was on the player I made this quick reference list, which proved to be unnecessary.
The idea of having an MP3 player was nice, but for most of the trip I ignored the player because the design and operation were so bad. The controls were poorly-designed and gave inconsistent responses. Whoever designed that thing had no concept of user-friendliness. And there was no documentation that described the menus and their options, only a one-page overview of what each control does. Madness!
We took the thing back to Circuit City and got our money back. Someone at Creative should be terminated with prejudice.
