Thanks all:-) I've tried changing the WB in Adobe Lightroom but the changes all look toxic for some reason:-)

Wow Rod !

Now this is a great golden 'wind surfer' shot - a real bloke action shot with a mood :)

Nice lighting indeed ...

I really like the golden splash behind him, but the yellow sky makes it feel like he is wind surfing under a toxic cloud. I know your feelings about to much photoshop, but maybe you could decrease the saturation or change the tint on the top half while leaving the bottom half alone.

What don't you give raw a whirl mate. I used to hate raw but once I gave it a chance I never looked back.

I will check to see if me WB is still on fluorescent:-) otherwise we have to accept we get a yellowish sunset sometimes down here:-)

Great water splashes. * WB?

I'm with Rod, there is no contest if you ask me. One of the reasons this one looks so good is the background, it gives context and meaning to what the guy is doing. Imo of course.

Thanks Mary Anne:-) Here's the crop which was quite a drastic one, for me anyhow. I think I like me pretty shot above best:-)
ctfchallenge21-Oct-2006 00:26
Nice capture. The splashing water behind him is just perfect. Have you thought about cropping it down to a horizontal shot showing just the skier and the water? I find the shoreline and sky to be somewhat distracting.

That's the colour of the sunset Jano:-) (See shots in DP thread) Should I make it more orange/red? No one will know:-)

Well that does it, wot's the point of me trying anymore!!! :) Greeaaaaat shot Rod. Not sure I like the yellow background and sky though. Wot happened there? jano

Thanks Aammm & Brent:-)

Nice Rod! I like the way the light in the splash of water resembles a trail of flames.

Composition: Love how the horizon/trees/sky are in the upper 1/3. I probably would have centered the horizon :( Good lesson here.

That's kite surfing mate :) Love the colors, splashing water, and the composition. Good work!
