Thanks Christina, glad you like it. But check out Gerald's version, it's awesome, have to emulate his PP work.
Squared C20-Oct-2006 22:34
Wow aam! What a shot! You've traveled miles with this project! Excellent! And the results look delicious! Now I definitely need some lemonade! Bravo!
aam1234 20-Oct-2006 22:14
That's looks great Gerald, and like the saturation in your version. But I'm puzzled by the noise you mention as it was shot at iso 100. Mayb the dark part needs to be a little darker, have to check that.

Thank you very much Gerald for your effort and interest in the photo.

Really great image, Aam, almost perfect (I did not see the original version as I had no internet access for a few days). Only the noise within the shadows is a bit annoying. I hope you don't mind that I also played a bit with curves and levels and used Neat Image, restreicted to the dark areas, on your image. (I think the colors come out a bit too saturated on my version). Of course I will remove the image later.

Thank you gentlemen, appreciate your input. I'll play with the contrast further Neo. Cheers mates.
Rod 20-Oct-2006 12:47
Now we can say great shot Aammm, it looks terrific now mate well done:-)
Guest 20-Oct-2006 11:54
Wow I really like what you have done. I would like to see just a little bit more contrast.
aam1234 20-Oct-2006 08:55
Messed around with it as you've suggested guys and a little more. What do you think...better/worse/the same.
aam1234 20-Oct-2006 07:50
Wow. Well thank you guys very much, really appreciate the effort. I like what you have done so I'll apply the same things. Thanks 3 tons guys, one each, Lee, Techo, and Rod. Cheers mates.
ctfchallenge20-Oct-2006 06:34
Here's my one Aammm I don't know how to link to it like Techo did so here's the link with a space added in front of jpg so it won't show up here & offend you:-)
http://www.PhotoShare.co.nz/PhotoShareGallery1/100255/107839/Aaammm2tweak2395. jpg
So just get rid of the space between the dot & the jpg & I think the picy will show.
Unlike Techo I might leave this here for ever:-)

Hi Aam! this shot has some very good potential to pop a bit more. So tweaking of the contrast and saturation. I did sharpen it a little as well.

How about something like this
http://k.1asphost.com/TechoEP/CTF/CTF_Aam.htm
(will the remove link, just say the word) otherwise will take it down before voting starts.

I would resize and then sharpen at 88 / .8 / 0

Make some with you Sue Anne :)

I like this lemony shot and tear..... now it makes me want to get some lemonade. ;)
aam1234 19-Oct-2006 09:12
Thanks Christina, glad you like it. Rod, I normally sharpen to 2 or 3 in DPP during conversion, this time I gave it a 5, that's what I meant.
Rod 19-Oct-2006 07:49
Aammm when you say it can't be any sharper than that do you mean you don't want it any sharper or do you mean it can't be sharpened & still look good? I downloaded the shot & gave it an unsharp mask & it came up much better looking as though it came from the excellent 100mm macro lens.
Squared C18-Oct-2006 14:54
I like this a lot. And I think it's fine the way it's focused. It's really hard to get pin sharp on these things for some reason. I got that a lot with my tomato shot in another challenge I had it in.

I love the subtle colors. I think it's better than the B&W. And now I see why it was an engineering challenge. Just don't try this with a tomato!

Excellent work here!
aam1234 18-Oct-2006 11:49
It can't be sharper than that mate. And I tell J few personal things, she knows about that girl.
Rod 18-Oct-2006 10:23
Can this be made a bit sharper Aaamm? I like the colour & black background better. Well done mate..............Jano who:-)
aam1234 18-Oct-2006 01:02
