Me

Kansas, USA

My face doesn't appear anywhere in this self-portrait, but it is by far the most revealing photo I've ever posted. My son made the rooster in shop class. The musical score is one I've used frequently in numerous choirs. The church I was married was built of stone from the same quarry the rock came from. The Pentax was my first SLR. I wore out these shoes when my husband and I were competitive ballroom dancers. I wrote a column for this local paper for seven years. I believe Disneyland is one of the happiest places on earth and visit whenever I can. (I'm sure my face will show up sometime before the challenge ends. :-))

I love this. It's charming and well put-together. And I love the story behind the shoes, how cool is that!? ---Melanie (mlynn)

It's a thought. I did get a gold pair pair of ears last year during their 50th birthday party. :-) - CameraShy09

Very creative idea for the topic and well done too. Now, will we see your portrait with Mickey Mouse ears on? lol :-) CJ

Thanks for your kind words Charlie. I thought of choosing self portraits if I was ever lucky enough to get to pick the topic, so I had already kicked this idea around a little. I am eager to see what everybody else comes up with. - CameraShy09

I would certainly call that "creative," and I would agree that it is a representation of yourself. Also, as of this moment there is no guidance available to define or to establish limits on the nature of the challenge. So it's "on topic," as far as I am concerned. It is also very well done.
