Beware of ex-commies who wear rosaries

Travnik, Bosnia

I was always tempted to ask the guys who wore their rosaries like this some very basic questions about the Catholic faith. Like who comprises the Holy Trinity. I shot this picture when a Finnish journalist and myself were on our way into Jajce and we stopped to talk to Kordic.

James, I know Dario and he is a decent man who has been made the fall guy for the war in Central Bosnia between Bosniaks and Bosnian Croats. He is not some 'new' Croat or 'new' Catholic. The ICTY is an unusual place in that it allows hearsay evidence and does not follow any rules one would normally see in a court of law like in the UK or the US. Blaskic was released and he was an army general, Kordic was not released, and he was a low-ranking politician. Nema smisla. Makes no sense whatsoever. When the film is done about his life and tragic story, sadly only then will people realize that they sent an innocent man to jail.

Sorry dude immediately below, most of the people in Bosnia were innocent. Without a small group of criminals there would have been no war. You are parroting the UN line that everybody was guilty. That is absolutely untrue.

reading all the comments on these pictures... one gets the impression that there are no innocents. In many wars one can say, "these men did bad things. these other men brought them to justice." but it seems there are no clean hands in the bosnian war. each hero is a villain. You can praise a man for defending his people, but can you defend him for massacring another? For all I see the Bosnian War has no heroes.

All My catholic neighbors went to the"grandmothers house" before they attacked us. We were shelled from all hills around Gornji Vakuf and you freaks know it. My neighbor lost 2 brothers, a husband and a son in law. How can you still say that you defended yourselves when you wanted to take other half of Bosnia. Unbelieveable. Freaks.

All of Croats officers on your pictures are extremely good people, you and guests seys.I knew my uncle,he was so nice and friendly man,he loves company, loves poetry.Once day all of a sudden he killed his wife.He is in prison right now but I am still claim my uncle is a good man.

I'd rather have Kordic serving time for crimes he wasn't directly responsible for than Croat crimes going unpunished.

Kordic ...nice man but world power need some victim like responsibility for crimes all over bloody Bosnia...

I agree with what Andrea has said I had the pleasure of meeting Dario Kordic on a few occasions and found him to be a very pleasent family man and not a war criminal as we are led to believe. Twenty five years for saving your own people from what would of been mass slaughter is not justice it is a crime itself.

my father wore his rosery also. it was to keep God w/ him, it made some people feel more safe and gave then some inspiration though tough times. And Mr. Dario Kordic is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. If DEFENDING something you love and belive in is a crime, then we are all guilty. Mr. Kordic- you are always in our prayers.
