The Heaven Knows...

Man Mo Temple

The temple at Hollywood Road was built in 1847.
Like all other Man-Mo Temples found in China and all over the world,
it was dedicated to two of the most worshiped gods in ancient China:-
the God of Literature, Man Cheung, and the God of War, Kwan Yu.

Literature and War. Given our nature and our history, humankind has need of both, one supposes. Great photo Bernard. The rays and the multiple basket like objects are the perfect back drop for the people below. (What are those baskets?)
