Step 1 Continued

Tallahassee / Quincy, Florida

The “Before” retouching image is on the left, the “After” retouching image is on the right.

Continue the “cleaning up” of your client or model using mainly the “Healing Brush Tool”, always making small changes and saving your work often using consecutive numbers. (Dylan 01a, Dylan 01b, Dylan 01c and etc.) This way if you make a major mistake you can always go back to the previous saved image and not have to start over.

Though Dylan’s skin looks flawless under regular lighting, here under the harsh studio lights you can see little white stretch marks surrounding her nipple. (I have NEVER had a client or a model that does not have these little stretch marks! It’s simply a fact of life that you as the photographer are expected to clean up!) Since she also wore a bra to the sitting, there’s also the bra line marks impressed into the skin. Using the same “Healing Brush Tool” I cleaned those up and all the other miscellaneous areas across her skin.
